Man's best friend

Journal Entry: Tue Mar 4, 2008, 3:48 AM
Have you ever owned a dog? They are the most wonderful thing that can accompany a man on his life journey and they love you more that they love themselves. I personally would have probably killed myself in high school if I did not have them to help me through my teenage emotional turmoil and now I must rant: I am sick of people hurting everything! Everything that is good, pure and genuine like the love of a dog. It only takes a sick fuck of a human to take that love and manipulate it into something vicious and cruel like themselves, a monster.

I watched a heartbreaking and GOOD documentary about the pit bulls in America and all over the world being fought legally and illegally in the United States. I own a half pit-bull and my first dog was a pit so this really hits me as I have tremendous love for the animal. It is awful to see the reality of the dogs that are thrust into the ring, they are nothing more than objects to the people that raise them and fight them. Day in and day out they are trained, fought, abused and pushed to their physical limits by their "owners" and they do whatever they can willingly because they love their owners. They would do anything for them and they would die for them. And they do, so many meet their end from the final spar were the other tormented dog rips them apart. Or they die at the hands of their owners who are usually resentful over the lost money from the fight and string up the tired and worn dog that just wants his master’s approval and electrocute him and double his pain by a couple thousand volts and throw him out with the trash when they are done.

What a horrific sight we would be if there could be a mirror held up to our oblivious faces as the rape, murder, and persecution of people and animals goes on and we all just want to sit and watch One Tree Hill and laugh about it. Sure, don’t think about it, don’t educate yourself on how you are being fucked and how everywhere around you is everyone fucking everything else up. People fight for conquest and sport, for religion and values (which is getting slimmer and slimmer by the years) They sell and fuck children for profit, they persecute, desecrate and ravage anything that might be good about another and low and behold here humans are again twisting mans best friend into an image of a nightmarish hound set loose from the depths of hell.

It is MAN that did this to pitbulls and other "problem breeds" twisting their pyscology into mauling another, that it is a good thing. When they see the blood drip the wound of another animal they want more! How fucking stupid do you have to be to do this to mans best friend!? Ruining everyone’s chances of getting to know and love such a wonderful breed of dog that has endurance and tolerance like none other and making it publicly feared. Now there is a risk of it becoming banned and its presence being intolerable in some states. Adoption of a pitbull that goes into an animal shelter in some parts of the United States is not an option. Once the pit goes in, doesn't matter how the temperament is and how compatible it would be as a pet, it is euthanized, no questions asked.

It is the very definition of F.U.B.A.R. People need harsher punishments for hurtful deeds they commit towards any animal. We need to get across in all parts of a society that owning an animal is a privilege. Don't even think of it as owning even. They are not a car; they are not a bike or electronic device. Their personalities and behaviors’ are not some game. It is a privilege for YOU to have THEM live harmoniously with you in your home to brighten your life. It is the most self destructive thing man can do to destroy the personality and loving habits a dog has naturally, to be the cause of potentially eliminating the breed permanently...That is the last thing man kind needs. You get rid of one breed and than another, and eventually get rid of dogs, its only further and further down the spiral till we fully eliminate ourselves with no dignity or decency. We need dogs. I know most of us can’t live with out them because in the end it doesn’t matter what kind of person you are or how you look, your dog doesn’t care he loves you unconditionally. Even when you are a foul human being and no one else will love you, a dog will always love you. Lets not lose that…Educate yourselves and question everything.

To ask the question "Does that camera take good pictures" is like asking "does that guitar play good songs?"
